Our Kids are Super Runners

Room 7 had three super cross country runners this year. Well done to everyone who tried their best and had fun.

Dance Evening

As in previous years, Dance Night was a great success and the Room 7 children enjoyed sharing their dances with their parents.

Easter Fun

It has been a long term. We have had a fun week making Easter cards, chicks and lots of Easter activities. Happy holidays everyone. Enjoy the last of these lovely, warm, sunny days.

Making Masks

The children in Room 7 found a book all about paper mache and we decided to make some 'feeling' masks. It is going to be a long process and we are learning to apply the paper slowly and carefully so that we dont miss any places. It is a messy work in progress, so keep watching for the finished product. Any old t-shirts that are not needed would be a welcome donation to Room 7.

Spinning a Web

We read the big book called Spinning a Web. Then we made spiders and wrote words that start with sp on them. We glued our spiders onto a web and recited one fact about spiders that we learnt from the book. Here are some of them.

Feelings

We had fun making faces to show our different feelings.

Our Coin Trail for Christchurch.

On Monday the whole school dressed in black and red to support the Christchurch earthquake. We all brought coins and all the classes had turns at putting their coins on a trail in the hall. We raised $3,104.80. On Tuesday we all stood in a big circle on the field and joined hands during the two minutes of silence.
